Sin Shard

SinShard · Summon

Player experience

You loose a homing shard and it hunts. A hit sends it on to the next enemy. The upgrade splits the shard, so one cast becomes a small swarm of its own.

Product goal

Sin Shard is the summon that fights for you. False Idol draws the crowd into a trap. Sin Shard goes and gets them. The split is what keeps one shard useful once a single homing hit no longer matters.

Upgrades

Sin Shard Split. A hit chains and splits. Each rank adds another chain, and the first rank doubles the split.

As built

Shop gate: round 5.

Cast spends mana and launches a homing shard from aim. The shard locks the nearest prioritized target in range and flies at it. On a hit it can chain to another target while chains remain. The shard ends when chains and lifetime run out, or the shard buffer is full.

Shop upgrade, required on SinShard:

Sin Shard Split (AbilityId.SinShardSplit) — shards chain and split on hit, one extra chain per level. Rank 1 also doubles the split.
